This article explains how to activate the auto-posting feature in Personio. Auto-posting allows you to promote jobs across a range of job boards for free.
What is auto-posting?
Auto-posting is part of Personio's Promote feature. When you activate it for your account, all your published jobs are sent to a range of job boards for free. Your jobs can achieve a wider reach, especially internationally. It also automates the process of posting a job on multiple platforms.
Auto-posting is a feature that you activate on an account level, not on a job level.
Which job boards are available?
When you activate auto-posting, you can choose which job boards to use. When you select a job board, you automatically agree to its terms and conditions. The following job boards are available:
- Indeed (all jobs posted on Indeed are also posted automatically on Glassdoor, SimplyHired, and Resume.com)
- Adzuna
- Joblift
- Jobrapido
- Jooble
- Monster (not available in Germany)
- Nuevoo/Talent.com
- Recruit.net
- Careerjet
- Jobsora
Tip
When using LinkedIn and Indeed for free via the auto-posting feature, your jobs don't have the same reach as paid postings. Paid postings rank higher, whereas organic ones quickly lose visibility. We recommend using the paid Promote feature to achieve better results.
Requirements for using auto-posting
Before you activate the auto-posting feature, ensure you complete the requirements below.
- Grant yourself the correct Recruiting access rights in the Settings.
- Activate the Personio career page.
- Go to Settings > Organization > Offices and set up your offices. You must fill out the address information.
- Include the jobs of your legal entities on your career parent page:
▶︎ Go to Settings > Recruiting > Career page.
▶︎ Choose a legal entity from the dropdown.
▶︎ Select Show jobs on parent career page.
Activate auto-posting
To activate auto-posting in your Personio account, follow these steps:
- Go to Settings > Recruiting > Promotion.
- In the section Auto-posting, select the job boards where you want your published jobs to appear.
- Save and apply your changes.
To check which job boards have been selected for a job, go to Recruiting > Jobs and click on the job's title. Go to the Promotion tab, and click on the auto-posting tile.
Tip
Auto-postings can take up to three days to be published on the selected job boards. Your first auto-posting on Indeed can take up to two weeks.
Configure specific settings for LinkedIn and Indeed
For LinkedIn and Indeed, you have the option to configure specific settings. These settings are explained below.
Note
If your company is a recruitment agency or similar, recent changes in LinkedIn guidelines may affect you. Postings you make through auto-posting are unlikely to be published on LinkedIn. You will need to switch to paid postings instead.
You have the option to set up a link between your company's LinkedIn profile and your job postings on LinkedIn. To activate the link, follow these steps:
- Find your LinkedIn company ID. To do so, follow this documentation.
- Go to Settings > Recruiting > Promotion.
- In the section Job boards integration, enter your LinkedIn Company ID.
Indeed
With Indeed Apply, candidates can apply for a job posted on Indeed using their Indeed resume. This is instead of being redirected to your Personio career page. This option simplifies the application process for candidates.
When you select Indeed for auto-posting, Indeed Apply is automatically activated.
FAQs on auto-posting
Tip
Consider using paid postings if you need to hire quickly, find candidates for jobs that are difficult to fill, or want to attract talent in a competitive field.
Tip
If you use your own application form, note that candidates will still be forwarded to the Personio application form. Check the application form fields you have defined. Go to Settings, then to Recruiting > Career page > Application form settings.
Tips
▶︎ If you are based outside of Germany, you can use the ZIP code 00000 for remote jobs.
▶︎ If you are posting on LinkedIn, only real ZIP codes work. You can specify the workplace by adding the tag #LI-Remote, #LI-Hybrid, or #LI-Onsite to the job description. Visit this LinkedIn article for more information.
