To use the Loket integration, your company needs a legal entity based in the Netherlands. 🇳🇱
This article provides an overview of the Loket integration, which links Personio to the Loket payroll program. The goal of this integration is to automate your monthly payroll process, making it faster and more efficient.
Once activated, Personio becomes the leading system for all employee and compensation data. This means that when you sync your data, Personio automatically reflects any changes in Loket, ensuring consistency and reducing manual work.
Involve your payroll processing person from the very beginning. This could be your in-house
payroll manager or your external tax accountant if payroll is outsourced. Their involvement is essential because the integration significantly impacts your payroll processes. Your payroll processing person can provide valuable insights, make sure you stay compliant, and help with a smooth transition.Â
Understand the integration’s scope
The integration automates the transfer of key payroll information between the two systems with bi-directional data flow for select data and use cases.

Check limitations and important considerations
Be aware of the following limitations before you start the setup process:
- One-to-one mapping: you can only link one Personio legal entity to one Loket Administration. You can't connect multiple Personio entities to one Loket Administration, or vice versa.
- Unique tax ID required: the Loket Administration you connect must have a unique tax ID. Administrations that share a tax ID with others aren't supported.
- Monetary and currency: the integration only supports monetary compensations in Euros (€).
- Monthly frequency: only recurring compensations with a monthly payout frequency are supported.
- Irreversible mapping: once you map a legal entity to an administration, you can't reverse this without contacting our Support team.
- Active employees: the integration can only sync active employees. Employees with a status of Onboarding or Inactive in Personio can't be synced.
Review audit logs for transparency
Personio automatically logs all important actions related to the Loket integration, providing a transparent audit trail. With audit logs, you can see at a glance who made which changes and when, making it easier to trace errors or review actions.
The following activities are logged, among others:
- Changes to integration settings and authorizations.
- Execution of the data sync from Personio to Loket.
- Retrieval and sharing of payroll documents from Loket.
You can view all audit logs for the Loket integration directly in your Personio account, so you can follow up on all relevant actions. For more information, see our general article on audit logs.
