This article explains how to edit a posting that has been posted on an external job board such as LinkedIn or Onlyfy via the Personio Promote Feature. We will differentiate between editing an Auto-posting and editing Multi-postings on paid and free job boards.

How to edit a posting on a free Multi-posting job board, depends on the job board.

Edit an Auto-posting
For Auto-postings, any changes that you make to the position's data, for example location, description, position details, career page links, will be automatically updated in the Auto-posting.
Edit a Paid Multi-posting
The editing process of a paid Multi-posting depends on the changes that you want to make.
Change the Position's Description or Name
To make changes to the position description or name of a posting that is currently live, you need to follow these steps:
Step 1: Make the changes
- Go to Recruiting > Positions, select the position you wish to edit by clicking on its title.
- Select the Description tab, and click Edit in the bottom-right corner.
Note Ensure to edit the description in all languages if needed. - Once you are finished editing your description, click Save.
- A pop-up window will appear in which you need to confirm that you want these changes to be published.
Note This only refers to publishing the changes on the Personio Career page, not external job boards.
Step 2: Post the changes on the job board
To post the changes on the job boards, you need to follow these steps:
- Go to the Promotion tab.
- Here you will now see a notification where you can click Check availability to see if your selected external job boards support editing.
- If the job board supports editing, you will see an estimated time for when the changes will be posted in green.
Note If the job board does not support the editing of job descriptions, it will show as not supported in red. Hover the mouse over not supported to see further details (such as, the job board does not support changes, you are trying to edit a posting on a free job board, or the posting's expiry date is too close). - Then click Request edits.
Tip To see if the edits of a posting have published, check the posting on the external job board. To do so, select in the Promotion tab the posting you want to check (for example LinkedIn), and click in the pop-up window on the three dots. Here, you can select Go to posting from the dropdown menu, which will redirect you to the live posting on the external job board.
Change Position's Job Description Headings
If you would like to make changes to the headings in the different job description sections, you need to follow these steps:
Step 1: Make the changes
- Go to Settings > Recruiting > Recruiting > Job descriptions.
- Select the section heading that you want to change, and click Edit.
- Make changes to the headings of the job description subsections in all languages.
Step 2: Post the changes on the job board
For the changes to become visible in the posting of an external job board, you need to inform the job board of the update. The only way to do so currently is by creating a change in the position's Description as described in Edit the position's Description or Name and notifying the job board of the changes.
Tip In this case, a simple added space in the Description will suffice to trigger the notification in the Promotion tab and request edits in the external job boards.
Change the Position's About us Section
To make changes to the About us section, you need to follow these steps:
Step 1: Make the changes
- Go to Settings > Recruiting > Recruiting > Career page.
- Scroll down to About us.
- Edit the content of the About us section in all languages.
- Once you are done, click Apply changes.
Step 2: Post the changes on the job board
For the changes to become visible in the posting of an external job board, you need to inform the job board of the update. The only way to do so currently is by creating a change in the position's Description as described in Edit the position's Description or Name and notifying the job board of the changes.
Tip In this case, a simple added space in the Description will suffice to trigger the notification in the Promotion tab and request edits in the external job boards.
Change the Position's details
To make changes to the position details of a paid Multi-posting or to update the company location, or name, after a position has been posted on an external job board, it is necessary to contact our promotion partner GoHiring.
Note Changes to the position's details will not be updated by the process described above.

To add a request via the GoHiring request form, go to Anfrage einreichen in the drop-down menu and select Anzeige ändern. GoHiring usually responds within 3 hours and initiates the change on the job board in question. |
For international customers |
If you are an international customer, you can email service@gohiring.com directly to request the change, instead of using the form. Make sure to state your company name, position, the job board and the new link (if you need to update the link to the application form). |
