This article provides an overview of the Insights tab in the Recruiting app. The Insights tab is a central space where you can access data on your whole recruiting process. With this data, you can better understand your recruiting process and identify areas for improvement.
You can access the Insights tab via Recruiting > Insights. The Insights tab is available to users with general Recruiting access rights.
Sections and charts
In the Insights tab, you can access data on different sections of your recruiting process, for example, hiring progress. View the list of available sections in the left-hand column within the Insights tab. Each section contains various charts, which you can customize to visualize your data.
Read on for access rights and an overview of each section.
Access rights
You can grant an employee exclusive access to the Insights tab. For example, a senior manager might have access to insights in Recruiting, but not to jobs and applications.
Furthermore, you can define the level of access for each Insights tab section. For example, you might grant an employee access to Offers but not Disqualification.
Learn how to grant access to the Insights tab.
Hiring progress
This section contains two charts: Hires made and Hires made over time. These help you to understand the breakdown of hires based on your selection criteria. You can also understand how this breakdown changes over time.
Hires made
This report displays the number of hires made and the average number per segment for the selected time period.
A candidate counts as hired when the application moves to the Hired stage. You can move it to either Hired or Offer Accepted in the offer flow. You must create a new employee profile through one of these flows.
Hires made over time
This is similar to the Hires made chart, but it gives you an overview of your hires made over a certain period. The chart is broken down into weeks, months, or years, depending on the period you have selected.
Hiring efficiency
This section contains two charts: Hiring speed and Hiring speed over time. These help you to understand the length of your hiring process. With this information, you may identify ways to make the process more efficient.
Hiring speed
This chart shows how long it took to hire for a specific job. You can see the average time-to-offer and the average time to hire for all your jobs:
- Time to offer is calculated from when the application is created to when it moves to the Offer stage.
- The time to hire is calculated from when the application is created to when it moves to the Hired stage.
The results between the two charts can vary, as you may not use the Offer stage in your hiring process.
Hiring speed over time
This is similar to the Hiring speed report, but it gives you an overview of your hiring speed over a certain period. The graph is broken down into weeks, months, or years, depending on the period you have selected.
Offers
This section contains two charts: Offer acceptance rate and Offer acceptance rate over time. These help you understand the breakdown of candidates who accept an offer.
Offer acceptance rate
This chart shows the number of offers accepted and extended within the selected time period.
- An offer is extended when the candidate moves to the Offer stage.
- An offer is accepted when the candidate moves from the Offer stage to the Hired stage.
The offer acceptance rate is calculated by dividing the number of accepted offers extended in a time period by the total number of offers extended in that time.
Note
The data for offers accepted can differ from the number of hires in the other charts. If you do not use the Offer stage, it cannot be counted as extended.
Offer acceptance rate over time
This chart shows how the average offer acceptance rate changes over a selected time period.
Applications
This section contains one chart: Applications received over time. This gives you an overview of the volume of applications you receive over time. With this information, you can explore why certain periods yield more applications. This may help you with planning your recruiting process.
Applications received over time
This report shows the number of candidates who have submitted applications to your company over the selected time period. The data is broken down month by month. You can view the average at the top of the chart.
Channel performance
This section contains two charts: Applications per channel and Hires per channel. You can use these to understand which recruiting channels are most successful.
Applications per channel
This chart shows the breakdown of applications for each recruiting channel.
Hires per channel
This chart shows the number of candidates who were hired from each channel.
Disqualification reasons
This section contains two charts: Rejections and Withdrawals. These charts can help you to identify the most common reasons for disqualification. With this information, you can make informed changes to your hiring process. For example, you might make adjustments to your job description to attract more qualified candidates.
Rejections
This chart shows rejected applications, including:
- The total number of rejected applications.
- The percentage of automatically rejected applications. Learn more about automated screening.
- The breakdown by rejection reason. Learn how to set up disqualification reasons.
