This article explains how to change your career page domain from myaccount.jobs.personio.de to myaccount.jobs.personio.com. If you've connected your corporate career page to Personio, then you'll also learn how to update the relevant integration.
Before you start
- To change your domain name extension in Personio, you need permissions for your company's Recruiting settings.
- To change the URL and update your integration, you need support from your IT team.
- If you want to change the hostname of your career page URL:
- This article only covers how to change the domain name extension of your career page. If you want to change the hostname of your career page URL, you also need to change the hostname of your Personio account. This is because the hostname of your Personio account matches your career page URL. For example, if your hostname is company.app.personio.com, then your main career page URL is automatically company.jobs.personio.com (or .de).
Change your career page domain name extension
To change your career page domain name extension, follow these steps:
- Go to Settings > Recruiting > Career page.
- Select the relevant company or legal entity.
- Select .com from the domain name extension dropdown.
- Review the on-screen message and apply your changes.
If you only use the Personio career page for posting jobs, then you don't need to take any further action.
Change the URL and update your integration
Notes:
The following section is only relevant if you've connected your corporate career page to Personio. You need support from your IT team for updating your integration.
After you change the domain extension, you need to update your integration setup. Otherwise, your career page won't work. You must also check and update any existing links to content on your career page. For example, links to specific job postings or application forms.
First, check which integration you're using:
- Link
- iframe
- XML
- A combination of XML and API
If you don't know which integration type you use, contact your IT team. The time needed to make the updates depends on your integration type. It can take from a few minutes to two hours.
Update the integration via link
If you've connected your corporate career page to Personio via a link, your IT team needs to change all links from:
https://myaccount.jobs.personio.de
to:
https://myaccount.jobs.personio.com
Make sure to update every link on your website that points to your Personio career page.
Time required: Up to one hour
Update the integration via iframe
If you use an iframe integration, your IT team needs to find the src attribute in the code and change it from:
<iframesrc="https://myaccount.jobs.personio.de" ...>
to:
<iframesrc="https://myaccount.jobs.personio.com" …>
Time required: Up to one hour
Update the integration via XML
If you've connected your corporate career page to Personio via XML, your IT team needs to change the XML feed URL from:
https://myaccount.jobs.personio.de/xml
to:
https://myaccount.jobs.personio.com/xml
Note that there is no automatic redirection for XML integrations. If you also use a link integration, update that as well.
Time required: Up to two hours
Understand the effect on job promotion links
After you update the URLs, Personio updates the promotion feature and any tracking links automatically. You don't need to make any changes. Redirection works for old links in existing postings, so candidates can still access your application forms.
If you post links to your jobs on external websites or social media, use the new URL from now on.
