This article explains how to check your organization's monthly usage of document signature requests in Personio.
Before you start
The number of documents you can have signed per month depends on your plan and the number of employee licenses it includes. Requesting e-signatures for documents requires a Core Plan or higher.
How your monthly signature request limit is calculated
Organizations with the Core Pro plan have unlimited signature requests.
Organizations with the Core Plan have a set limit for how many signature requests they can send per month. The limit is equal to 8% of the employee seats in your Personio plan. For example, if you have 100 seats, you get 8 signature requests each month.
Each document you send for signature counts as one request, no matter how many people need to sign it. Your limit goes down by one every time you send a signature request, even if you cancel it.
If you add or remove licenses in your plan, Personio automatically updates your monthly limit. The number is always rounded down. For example, if 8% of your seats equals 6.58, you get 6 signature requests.
Check your signature request usage
Administrators can monitor their organization's monthly signature request usage in the Automations area. To see the number of requests used, follow these steps:
- Go to Automations > Overview.
- Locate the Active Signatures widget.
- Click View all signatures to access the Signatures Overview page.
The number of signatures used appears at the top of the page along with the number you're granted per month in parentheses. Once you've used 70% of the available signature requests, a warning appears on your dashboard.

Add unlimited signature requests to your plan
To add more document signature requests than your granted amount, you can add unlimited signatures to your subscription. The cost of unlimited signature requests varies depending on the size of your Personio plan. Contract Owners can upgrade your account or view pricing options.
Can I increase my signatures for a single month only?
This option is only available if your basic Personio subscription is billed monthly. Contract Owners can request this option.
