Note

Inbox
The Inbox widget shows your five most recent work items in Personio. You can review and complete items in the widget without leaving the homepage. You can also view all your tasks and check requests pending approval.
Learn more about the notifications and tasks:
Recruiting
The Recruiting widget shows recruiting interviews scheduled for that day and future dates. The preview shows the following information:
- Interview date and time.
- Candidate's name and position applied for.
- Any other interview participants.
If the interview has a videoconferencing link, click Join interview to join the call. The accessible information depends on employees' access rights. Employees can see this widget if they have access to the recruiting flows.
Time Off
The Time Off widget displays upcoming time off and the status of each time off. It also shows company holidays. Employees can request time off from the widget.
Calendars
The Calendars widget shows events involving coworkers from across the company.
- Employees can see time off, birthdays, remote work, and on and offboarding events.
- Supervisors can see on and offboarding events for their direct reports. They see onboarding events if the contract start date falls within the next seven days. They see offboarding events if the contract ends within the next seven days.
You can filter by organization level and event type to see the events you need.

When there are more than five events in the same period, the events group by type. For example, the widget shows six birthdays on the same day as a group. Hovering over the group displays a list with all employees and event details. This helps to manage information during busy times or for large teams.
While everyone can see the widget, the events shown depend on access rights.
To set up time off:
- Go to Settings.
- In the People section, click Employee Roles
- Click Calendars.
- Go to Time off Calendar and Time off Types and adjust the settings.
To set up birthdays:
- Go to Settings.
- In the People section, click Employee Roles
- Click Calendars.
- Go to Birthdays and adjust the settings.
Birthdays appear if the employee has access to Personal Data > Public Profile.
Org Chart
The Org Chart widget displays a reduced org chart. It shows the employee's:
- Supervisor
- Peers (those sharing the same supervisor)
- Direct reports
The chart provides quick access to colleagues' profiles. The widget doesn't appear if it only shows the employee and their supervisor.
Access to the Org Chart information depends on the employee's access rights:
- Employees shown depend on Personal data > Public profile settings.
- An employee can't see the widget if they don't have org chart or public profile access rights.
Shortcuts
Shortcuts are links to external websites, like your company website. This section only becomes visible on the homepage once you add at least one link. You can add up to ten links. To add a shortcut:
- Go to Settings.
- In the Organization section, click Homepage shortcuts.
- Add a shortcut. Choose an icon and title (up to 30 characters). The title and icon appear on the homepage.
- Insert the address the shortcut should link to.
Note
The system validates links using a domain name system (DNS) check. If the check fails, the system considers the URL invalid and rejects it. In this case, you can't save the shortcut. This process might reject internal company URLs, including intranet pages.
Announcements
The Announcements widget shows messages to all employees. Administrators and users with access rights can add, edit, archive, and delete announcements. To locate these access rights:
- Go to Settings.
- In Employee Roles, click Access Rights.
- In Configurations, click Home.
Archived announcements don't appear on the homepage, but you can view them with a direct link. Deleting an announcement means you can't recover it. Click the widget title to see the announcement history.
Your Documents
The Your Documents widget gives employees access to their latest payroll documents. It shows the three most recent payroll documents, including payslips.
- Click a document to open it, or use the download button to save it.
- Click Your Documents to go to the Documents tab in the employee profile.
If no payroll documents are available or if they are older than six months, the widget doesn't appear.
Discover
The Discover widget shows the latest products and services that could be useful to you. This widget isn't always visible on your homepage. It appears if we identify relevant offerings. Within the widget, you can explore these further and register, so our team can contact you. If something doesn’t interest you, select the three-dot icon and click Not interested.
Smart Automations
The Smart Automations widget gives Administrators intelligent, relevant recommendations on ways to make their organization more efficient. The first widget gives Administrators insight into their attendance approvals. It shows data from the last 30 days and identifies submissions that could be auto-approved.
To automate your approval process and focus only on submissions that violate policy, click Set up workflow.
Note
This widget is only available to organizations that use the time tracking feature. They cannot have any active workflows that include the attendance approval trigger.
The homepage (NEW)
Toggle the switch on the homepage to try out the new version.
The new dashboard comes with a two-column setup and updated widgets.
Customise your own homepage
To customise your homepage, scroll down and click Customisation. You can pin and reorder widgets at the top. Note that you can only customise the widgets on the right column.
Customise your employee's homepage
To customise your employees' homepages, head over to the account customisation settings. Here, you can select which widgets are shown to each employee.
Note
During the early access period for the new Personio experience (starting on April 3rd), any tweaks you make with the new customisation settings won't be visible to employees until the official rollout. This lets you experiment with the homepage widget layout for your team without them noticing anything. So feel free to test away!
