This article provides an introduction to data imports in Personio. You can use data imports to transfer existing data into Personio during implementation. You can also use data imports after your implementation to update or correct data. This can save time and reduce manual work.
With data imports, you can import both historical and current data using import templates. This gives you a complete view of your workforce for better decision-making and reporting.
Access data imports
To access data imports:
- Go to Settings.
- In the Organization section, click Imports.
You need permissions for the relevant import type to perform data imports. Admins can grant non-admins permissions to perform certain imports. Learn more about import permissions and how to delegate them.
Import templates
Import templates are files you download from Personio. You fill them with your data and upload them back into Personio. For some imports, like Employees, you might need to set up custom sections and attributes before importing.
