This article describes for which events Notifications and Tasks are sent and what type of Notifications and Tasks exist for Recruiting in Personio.

What are Notifications and Tasks in Recruiting?

Notifications and Tasks inform users about important events and to-dos that require an action to be completed. Notifications are one-off events, for example a new email in the Unassigned Messages, that in Recruiting are mostly handled and defined by the different Recruiting roles. Tasks are to-dos that require an action from the user, like for example an evaluation request for a specific candidate.

Receive Notifications and Tasks

In Personio

Employees can access Tasks via the Tasks widget on the Dashboard. Both tasks and notifications can be accessed via the Inbox on the upper right of the screen. For more information on the Inbox and the possible actions for Notifications and Tasks, read the article Global Task Management.

Note that while Tasks can be accessed via the Inbox and the Tasks widget on the Dashboard, Notifications are exclusively displayed in the Inbox.

Via Email

For certain types of Notifications and Tasks, Personio sends out email notifications. Recruiters can receive an email informing them for instance about new unassigned messages. If Notifications for Recruiting roles are set up, these also trigger a notification via email.

If you do not want your employees to receive email notifications for recruiting events from Personio, you can globally deactivate all email notifications under Settings > ORGANIZATION AND PEOPLE > Company > Company information > Email notifications enabled.

Reviews in the form of evaluations and comments can be requested when an interview is created or by clicking on the Request review button in the candidate profile. When creating the request, you can also set automatic reminders sent out by email at an interval defined by you.

Interview Requests

If an evaluation has been requested for the interview, it is shown in the Tasks widget on the Dashboard and in the Inbox. Find details about this task above under Recruiting Review Requests.
