Learn to manage existing career frameworks.
Before you start
To create and manage career frameworks, you need Administrator permissions, or edit permissions for career frameworks and competencies.
Edit a career framework
To edit a career framework, follow these steps:
- Go to Settings.
- In the Organization section, click Jobs and careers.
- Under Career frameworks, click the relevant framework.
- Edit the framework as needed.
Edit or Delete a competency
To edit or delete a competency, follow these steps:
- Go to Settings.
- In the Organization section, click Jobs and careers.
- Under Competencies, click the relevant competency.
- Make the necessary chances and save them. The changes apply to all frameworks where you used the competency.
- To delete it, click Delete competency. Note that Personio removes the competency from all frameworks.
Edit default assignments
You can set a competency as default for new frameworks.
If you edit or disable default assignments, the changes only apply to new frameworks and competencies. Existing frameworks are unaffected.
Un-publish or delete a framework
You can unpublish a framework so that it’s no longer visible to employees in their performance overview or in their profile. The framework remains available as a draft under Settings > Organization > Jobs and careers.
- Go to Settings.
- In the Organization section, click Jobs and careers.
- Under Career frameworks, click the relevant framework.
- The framework's edit window opens. To un-publish the framework, click the three dots icon and select Un-publish framework.
- Confirm your choice.
To delete the framework instead, follow these steps:
- Click the three dots icon and select Delete framework.
- Confirm your choice.
When you delete a framework, Personio does not delete any competency. All the competencies you create remain available for use unless you delete them.
