This article addresses the most frequently asked questions regarding the Job architecture settings.
If my organization is using the existing Position attribute in Personio, do we need to change our configuration to add the new Job attributes (Job name, Job family, Job level, etc.)?
You can continue using the old set-up with the Position attribute. But, we recommend switching to the new job architecture set-up. You’ll benefit from more uniform and structured job data, serving as the foundation for features in other areas of Personio, like Position Management, Workforce Planning (coming soon), and the visualization of salary bands in the Compensation Management App.
Are there best practices on how to set up a job architecture?
You can find an example here, or download a full guide on best practices.
What happens if I edit the settings for a job, like the salary band, which is already assigned to an employee?
The data automatically updates for the respective employees.
If the salary of an employee exceeds the maximum salary indicated in the job scale, will there be a warning?
No, there will not be any warning. An employee’s fixed salary can exceed the salary band.
Can I review salary bands that have been set up for different jobs?
Salary band visualizations and reports are planned to be accessible within the Compensation Management app.
