Learn to navigate the Performance area in Personio. This is the central hub where employees can track, manage, and reflect on feedback and reviews to foster their growth and development.
Access the Performance area
You can access the Performance area from the side bar on the left.
The area is available to all employees. Access to its different tabs and data depends on the employee role, their access rights, and the Administrator’s setup under Performance > Manage.
- All employees have access to their feedback and reviews (written and received). Employees only see the feedback that has been shared with them.
- Supervisors have access to reviews and performance notes feedback (if shared with them) about their reports and the relative cycles.
- Supervisors can see feedback, reviews, and performance notes for their indirect reports along the full reporting line if the sharing and confidentiality settings allow it.
- Administrators have access to all tabs, feedback, and cycles.
Get an overview of your tasks and feedback
Under Overview, you can see all your pending tasks related to performance. See the latest feedback and review requests, and review cycles.
If you are a supervisor, you can access your direct report's performance profile from here, to give and request feedback about them.
Review your performance and your team's performance
Your performance
This section offers an overview of your performance results and efforts. Here you can:
- Review your recent feedback. It can help you prepare a self review or a promotion case. The performance feed lists all your reviews and feedback in chronological order.
- Find specific feedback to identify areas of improvement or keep track of your best efforts. Use the filters at the top of the page.
- Know at a glance what requires your attention: unfinished feedback drafts, and feedback requests.
Team performance
If you are a supervisor, you can access an overview of your team (and your entire reporting line) under Team performance. Here, you can:
- Identify opportunities for coaching and development. Check each team member's latest performance and potential ratings.
- Prepare before performance meetings or calibration discussions. If you click a team member, you see an overview of their performance: their latest cycle reviews, feedback, and performance notes. If you activate it, the AI functionality provides a summary.
Access review cycles
Under Review cycles, you have access to all review cycles if you are an Administrator.
If you are a Supervisor, here you can see all the review cycles that involved the members of your team, and your whole reporting line:
- Find the relevant cycle by searching or filtering.
- Click any cycle and monitor participation and progress.
- Gather performance insights about your team. Use them during performance calibrations.
Manage performance features
Under Manage, you can access the following:
- Feature visibility: decide to hide or show Performance & Development features (Feedback, Cycles, Training, Goals) in your organization. Administrators always have access to all features, regardless of this configuration.
- Performance ratings: set a unified measure of performance and potential across your organization.
- Sharing and confidentiality: decide the provider’s name visibility when giving feedback. Decide if reviews and feedback are visible to the immediate supervisor only or to all supervisors on the reporting line.
- Feedback forms: create the forms to use when giving feedback or writing reviews.
