This article contains tips to ensure that you've set up work schedules and attendance settings correctly.
Required settings
- You've created work schedules and set the required time tracking restrictions.
- The total number of hours within any work schedule that you defined under Settings > Work Hours and Time off > Attendance corresponds to the number of hours specified in the title of the work schedule.
- The Track overtime and deficit hours setting is disabled in the work schedules for employees with hourly salaries.
- You've assigned a work schedule to all your employees.
- Each employee's weekly hours (in the employee profile under Personal Info > HR information) correspond to their work schedule (in the Attendance tab of the employee profile). This is important to ensure the attendance balance and the prorated calculation of leave entitlement are correct. You can quickly check this using the People list for all employees. Create a view that contains Weekly hours and Work schedule.
Optional settings
- If employees should track the time they worked on specific projects, you have created projects and activated project-based time tracking.
Congratulations 🎉
You can now move on to implementing time off.
