This article focuses on managing training sessions. It explains how to do the following.
- Add employees to a training session
- Remove employees from a training session
- Track employee attendance at a training session
- Export training session data to a CSV file

These functionalities are only available to Administrators and employees with edit rights in the Training section of the Performance & Development area.
Add Employees to a Training Session
Notes
▶︎ Only employees with the status Active can be added to a session.
▶︎ If a session has limited capacity, you can only add employees until you reach full capacity.
To add employees to a training session, follow these steps:
- Navigate to Performance & Development > Training.
- Under Course catalog, click on the title of the training course where you want to add employees to, and click on the relevant training session.
- A page displays which shows the training session details.
▶︎ If you haven't added any participants yet to the training session, click on Start adding employees.
▶︎ If the training session already contains participants, click theicon.
- The Add participants to this session dialog displays, where you can click on Select employees. Then select the checkbox next to the employees you want to add, or activate Select all.
- Then click Add participants.
Remove Employees from a Training Session
Note
If you remove a participant from a training session, they will receive an automated email that the event has been canceled and removed from their calendar. The session is also removed from their Planned course tab.
To remove employees who have been added to a training session, follow the steps below. It is possible to remove an employee from a session at any point.
- Go to Performance & Development > Training.
- Under Course catalog, click on the title of the training course from which you want to remove employees, and click on the relevant training session.
- A page displays which shows the training session details with the list of participants. Select the checkbox next to the employee you wish to remove, or activate the checkbox next to Employee list to remove all participants from the training session.
- Click the
icon.
- Then click on Remove participants, to confirm that you wish to remove the employees.
Track Employee Attendance at a Training Session
You can track how many of the invited participants attended a training session after this one has taken place.
To track employee attendance at a training session, follow these steps:
- Go to Performance & Development > Training.
- Under Course catalog, click on the title of the training course for which you want to see attendance details, and click on the relevant training session.
- A page displays which shows the training session details with the list of the training session participants. In the column Attendance status, you can track which employees attended the training session. The following statuses are possible:
▶︎ Not updated – the status was not yet updated.
▶︎ Attended
▶︎ Did not attend - To update an employee's Attendance status, activate the checkbox next to the employee name, or activate the checkbox next to Employee list, to select all of them.
- Next to Send invitations, Click the three dots icon

▶︎ If the employee attended the training session, select Mark as attended.
▶︎ If the employee did not attend the training session, select Mark as did not attend.
Export Training Session Data to a CSV File
You have the option to export your training session data to a CSV file. This feature gives you added flexibility with reporting and allows you to share the session details with external collaborators, for example training facilitators.
To export training session data, follow these steps.
- Go to Performance & Development > Training.
- Under Course catalog, click on the title of the training course that the training session is a part of.
- Click on the training session that you want to export.
- Click on the three dots icon at the top right
, and select Export.
- A dialog box will appear. Click on Export CSV.
Cancel a Training Session
Note
When you cancel a training session, the session details (including participants and their invitation status) are saved, so you can reschedule the session at a later date without having to reenter the information.
To cancel a training session, follow the steps below.
- Go to Performance & Development > Training.
- Under Course catalog, click on the title of the training course that the training session is a part of.
- Click on the training session that you want to cancel.
- A page appears that displays the training session details. At the top right, click the three dots icon
, and select Cancel session.
- A dialog box appears. Click on Confirm cancellation.
The status of the training session appears as Cancelled under the Planned courses tab.
Delete a Training Course
Notes
▶︎ To delete a course, you first need to delete all sessions that have been added to the course.
▶︎ Once a course and its information has been deleted, this action cannot be undone.
To delete a training course, follow these steps:
- Go to Performance & Development >Training.
- Under Course catalog, click on the three dots icon
next to the training course that you wish to delete, and select Delete training course.
- Click on Yes, delete training course, to confirm that you wish to delete the course.
Delete a Training Session
Notes
▶︎ You can only delete training sessions that have not already taken place.
▶︎ Participants who have been invited will be notified, and the event will be removed from their calendars and their Planned courses tab.
▶︎ Once a training session and its information have been deleted, this action cannot be undone. If you would like to save the information in order to reschedule the session, then cancel the session instead.
To delete a training session, follow these steps:
- Go to Performance & Development >Training.
- Under Course catalog, click on the title of the training course for which you want to delete the session, and click on the training session.
- A page displays which shows the training session details. In the top-right corner, click on the three dots icon
and select Delete session.
- Click Delete session to confirm that you wish to delete the training session.
