This article explains how to add and edit training courses in Personio, and how to schedule different training sessions that are part of a training course. Adding training courses and sessions in Personio will allow you to invite participants and track training attendances directly in Personio.
Note
These functionalities are only available to Administrators and employees with edit rights in the Training section of the Performance & Development area.
How to Add a Training Course
To add a training course, follow these steps:
- Navigate to Performance & Development > Training.
- Under Course catalog, click on Add a new training course.
- Enter a unique name for the training course into the field, Name this training course, and enter a unique training course description into the Add a description field.
- Then click on Save course details.
- The newly added training course will appear under the Course catalog tab.
Edit Training Course Details
To make adjustments to a training course, follow these steps:
- Navigate to Performance & Development > Training.
- Under Course catalog, on the training course which you wish to edit, click the three dots icon
and select Edit training course.
- Now make the necessary edits to the training course name and the description.
- Then click Save changes.
How to Add a Training Session to a Training Course
Multiple training sessions can be added to a training course.
To add a training session to a training course, follow these steps:
- Navigate to Performance & Development > Training.
- Under Course catalog, click on Add session to the right of the relevant training course.
- In Scheduling information, enter a unique name for the training session in the Name this session field, select a session date using the date picker, and enter a session start and end time in the Start time and End time fields. Click Next.
- In Add description (optional) it is recommended that you enter a unique training session description in the Add a description (recommended) field. Click Next.
- In Set session capacity, under Does this session have a capacity limit? choose whether the session has limited seats or not, and set the number of available seats.
- Then click Save session details.
You can then add employees to the training session and send them invites, or open the training session to self enrollment.
Edit Training Session Details
To make adjustments to a training session, follow these steps.
- Go to Performance & Development > Training.
- Under Course catalog, click on the title of the training course for which you want to edit the session, and click on the relevant training session.
- A page displays which shows the training session details. In the top-right corner, click on the three dots icon
and select Edit session.
- Now make the necessary adjustments to the name, date, time, and capacity of the training session.
- Then click Save changes.
