This article covers the following issues:
The Personio iCal subscription is corrupting my Outlook data file (.ost)
Issue:
When Outlook processes a new or updated event from a Personio iCal subscription, the local Outlook data file — an .ost file — becomes corrupted and Outlook crashes. This is a known local Outlook behaviour when processing certain iCal events. It isn't caused by a configuration in Microsoft 365 or a setting within the Personio integration.
Possible solution:
- In Outlook's account settings, remove the affected Personio calendar subscription.
- Allow Outlook to delete or recreate the corrupted data file. If prompted by an error message, confirm the action.
- In Personio, regenerate a new iCal link and add it back to Outlook as a fresh calendar subscription.
