The Compensation Profile is a redesigned version of the Salary tab in the employee profile. It helps you make more informed decisions about compensation changes and keep track of them.
- Understand people's compensation: Review employees' current contractual compensation, including when it last changed.
- Keep track of compensation changes: Add comments to salary changes. Capture what changed, by whom, when, and why.
- Support fair pay with salary bands: See if people's pay is consistent with their role and level. Control who can view salary bands in Roles and permissions to promote pay transparency.
This feature is in open beta and available to all Administrators and account owners. You can test it and share feedback before the wider release.
Tip:
You can switch between the new and previous versions at any time. Your choice only affects your personal experience.
What's new
- Compensation overview: Review an employee's current contractual compensation at a glance and understand when the last changes happened. See full-time equivalent (FTE)-adjusted and 100% FTE amounts for salaries.
- Compensation changes: Keep track of what changed about an employee's compensation. See who made the change, when, and why. This includes any comments added at the time.
- Compensation breakdown: See all past and future payroll inputs for an employee in one place. This includes one-time compensations, bonus payouts, and overtime pay.
- Salary bands: Understand how an employee's salary compares to the range defined for their role and level. This helps identify whether they're underpaid or overpaid and supports decisions on equal pay.
- Pay documents: Access shortcuts to an employee's latest and all payslips.
- Unified compensation change form: You can now make compensation changes the same way across all types of compensation. Making changes is straightforward and safe. When you add new salaries, you immediately know how the change moves the employee within their salary band. You can also add comments to give context for salary changes.
