This article will explain how to import HR master data from DATEV into Personio using a DATEV data analysis system (DALY) export.

Before you get started

In order to use the DATEV integration, you or your payroll accountant need the appropriate access rights.

Creating the DALY export

The prerequisite for using the DALY export is that your payroll run is already carried out with DATEV and that you, your peoples responsible for payroll accounting or your tax consultant,DATEV Comfort package and use it.

To generate the DALY export, follow thehere in the DATEV Helpcenteravailable instructions for DATEV LODAS as well as wages and salaries and forward the link to your people responsible for payroll accounting or tax consultancy.

Importing Data Into Personio

The easiest way to exchange the file is if the people responsible for payroll accounting has their own profile in your Personio account. Click here to find best practices on how to create an external payroll accountant in Personio. If you use this method, your payroll accountant or tax consultant can upload the created file directly to your profile. Alternatively, you as a Personio customer can of course also upload the file.

If you have booked Professional Services, your Personio contact can prepare the data for you promptly. You can then import the data into your account.

Tip:
Please note that for the import into Personio, the email address or another unique employee attribute must be included. If this isn't in the DATEV data, you need to add it to the import file.
