By connecting your software solution to Personio, via our open API, you will allow your customers to transfer their data automatically between systems. You will create direct added value for your customers, expand your product portfolio, and become part of the Personio community.
As a Personio product partner, you will be listed on the Personio Marketplace website as well as within our software as an integration partner.

Minimum requirements
To qualify as a Personio product partner, you should meet the following criteria:
- Your primary market is medium to large-sized businesses in the EMEA region, with 50+ shared customers.
- An integration is already built between your tool and Personio and it offers real added value for our mutual customers.
- You will provide customer support in case of any queries or problems regarding the interface.
- Your integration has at least 10 active customer adoptions.
Develop the integration
You need to complete the following steps:
- Create a free test account by signing up here.
- Develop the interface using our public APIs. Make sure to add the partner headers.
- Test the interface
- Create the required support material to help customers.
- Onboard at least 10 customers to the integration.
- Announce the integration and reach out to us.
Build the integration
Build the integration using Personio's API. You will receive access to a test account and full API documentation.

Have Personio evaluate the integration
Personio reviews demand in our base, customer overlap, ICP match, and use-case feasibility.
Personio evaluates whether there is a genuine shared commercial opportunity:
- A critical use-case is solved for shared customers.
- Demonstrable customer base overlap.
- Matching Ideal Customer Profile.
- Submission of at least 5 qualified leads to Personio.
We arrange a structured call to assess whether we can win together. We cover these topics:
- Strategic fit and long-term direction.
- Lead-generation potential.
- Co-marketing and co-selling approach.
- Culture and values alignment.
Complete the QA and certification stage
You need to successfully complete the QA and certification stage to be listed as a Personio product partner.
Once your integration is complete, proceed through the evaluation stage described above. Our Partner Management team coordinates with you once the evaluation goes through. You need at least 10 active customers using the integration before reaching out.
During the technical quality check, we review the interface functionalities, including:
- An autonomous activation process for customers.

- The interface's configuration options.
- Automated filter options.
- A live example of data transmission.
- Completion of the Technical & Security questionnaire.

How can I share potential leads with Personio?
You and your sales or account management teams can send us potential leads through this form. We also have a customer-facing lead share form that can be added to your Personio listing on your website or marketplace.
How do I evaluate our customer or prospect overlap?
To better understand our customer and prospect overlap with prospective partners, we use Crossbeam. It allows us to review potential overlap securely by comparing CRM data in a GDPR-friendly way.
How do I establish a commercial agreement with Personio?
Commercial agreements are formalised through Stage 3 of the Commercial Track. This includes a signed NDA and partnership agreement. Our partnership manager will reach out to partners to initiate this process.
