In this article, you will learn how to archive positions and how to reactivate them, if needed. Use the archiving function to store your data in a different area so that your recruiting area is exclusively reserved for openings that are active. Positions that have recently been filled can then be easily retrieved again if needed.
Archiving Positions
In the Recruiting section, navigate to the position in question and click on View details to first deactivate the position on your Personio career page. Click on Unpublish to temporarily cancel the job posting.
Do not forget to get in touch with any external job boards on which your job posting may also have been posted.
Next, click on the button with the three dots and select the Archive position option.
Before archiving a position, you should ensure that all remaining candidates in the pipeline are sent rejection notifications for reasons of data privacy. Learn here how to delete your candidate data.
Once your position has been archived, you will be able to find it in the overview of all archived positions under Recruiting > Show > Archived positions. Candidate profiles that have been assigned to an archived position will be flagged accordingly.
Reactivating Positions
If you would like to reactivate an archived position, go to the Archived positions section. Next, select the respective position and click on View details. Click on the button with the three dots and select Reopen position.
