Learn to edit employee ratings and import historical ratings into Personio.
Before you start
To edit ratings, you need to have:
- The Administrator role, or
- Edit access for Performance settings.
You can edit current performance or potential ratings only if they're not part of any live cycle.
Edit employee ratings
To edit current employee ratings, follow these steps:
- Go to Performance > Manage > Ratings.
- To edit performance ratings, click Edit next to Employee performance evaluation. To edit potential ratings, click Edit next to Potential evaluation.
- Edit the rating as needed.
- Click Save changes.
The new rating is now available for future cycles. The change doesn't affect previous cycles or their manager reviews.
Import historical ratings
You can import an employee's past ratings into Personio. Once you import them, the ratings appear in the employee profile and under Performance > Team performance.
Note:
Historical ratings don't appear in the performance cycle metrics tab, as they don't belong to any particular cycle.
Download and complete the import template
To import historical ratings, you need to download the dedicated template and complete it:
- Go to Performance > Team performance.
- Click Import ratings. Select whether to import performance ratings or potential ratings.
- The import window opens. Click Download.
- Open the template and enter the data. Numeric ratings need to be between 0 and 10, and descriptive scales can include up to seven options. Note that the file can't exceed 2000 rows.
- Optional: Enter multiple ratings for different employees.
Upload the ratings
To upload the ratings, follow these steps:
- Go to Performance > Team performance.
- Click Import ratings. Select whether to import performance ratings or potential ratings.
- The import window opens. Drag and drop the import file into the window.
- Review the import. Enter missing ratings if necessary.
