The EOR takes on the legal responsibility for your employees and handles HR tasks related to employment, including payroll, tax, benefits, and compliance. This service ensures compliance with local labor laws and reduces costs while providing access to global talent pools.

How does Personio EOR work?
Personio integrates with Remote to handle compliance and HR tasks. Users can easily switch between Personio and Remote using a magic link, which provides a secure, passwordless login to Remote and brings you straight to the section needed to complete specific tasks.
User experience within Personio and Remote
With Personio EOR, customers can start their global hiring directly within Personio. They can add new EOR employees in Personio and view them alongside all other employees.
Supervisors and HR managers handle key tasks within Personio, while EOR employees primarily use Remote for their daily activities. EOR employees appear in the People list and Org Chart with a profile like all other employees, making it easy for colleagues to interact with them.
Responsibilities in Personio and Remote

Note:
Some features, like editing salaries, requesting time off, and tracking attendance, are only available in Remote. However, magic links in Personio allow customers to start these processes in Personio and seamlessly redirect them to Remote to finish them.

Support for Personio EOR, powered by Remote, is split between Personio and Remote:
- Remote support handles questions about functionalities in the Remote platform, including Remote contracts.
- Personio support handles questions about functionalities in the Personio platform, including Personio contracts and pricing.
- Personio support also handles questions about the information transferred from Remote to Personio and about the EOR pricing.

Administrators can access EOR in the main Personio menu. Here, you can learn about hiring abroad and access the EOR calculator. We are gradually rolling out the EOR feature, so it mightn’t be visible in your account yet. To learn more about the EOR feature or if you already plan to hire an EOR employee, contact your Account Manager so we can prioritize your interest. If EOR isn’t visible in your account, contact your Account Manager.
Use the EOR calculator
The EOR calculator estimates the cost of hiring an employee in a specific country and helps you decide if EOR is right for your needs. It compares EOR services with the expenses of setting up local entities, providing a financial perspective to enhance budgeting for your global team.
- Enter the Hiring Country: Specify the country where you want to hire.
- Enter Gross Salary: Enter the gross salary for the position.
- Calculate Estimated Costs: Determine hiring costs in that country.
- You can save the calculation for reference.
