General
The Personio-a3innuva integration simplifies workflows by syncing time off periods directly from Personio to a3innuva Nómina, reducing manual data entry and minimizing errors. This ensures accurate transfer of time off to the correct time off categories in a3innuva Nómina, saving time and improving accuracy.
For accurate mapping in a3innuva Nómina, time off types in Personio must include relevant categories and may require additional information from employees and approvers during the approval process. Read on to learn how to set up and use the feature.
What time off types and categories are supported in Personio?
All time off types that are stored in the Personio Settings > Time off can be transferred to a3innuva Nómina and have to be mapped to one of the Personio categories. To ensure accurate mapping in a3innuva Nómina, we suggest adding time off categories for each type of time off. Find out how to create and set time off types in Personio.
Note
The transfer of hourly time off and half day time off periods are not supported.
Setup
Transfer time off
All time off types that you create with the given categories in Personio, can be mapped in the a3innuva Nómina time off mapping page. To do so, proceed as follows:
- Go to the Payroll section in the navigation bar and select a3innuva.
- Click Manage and go to the Time off mapping tab.
- Select which time off you want to transfer to a3.
- Click Save.
Usage
Additional time off questions
The time off export feature allows you to transfer various time off from Personio to a3innuva Nómina. To ensure correct assignment to corresponding time off in a3innuva Nómina, system-side time off categories must be stored in Personio for each of your individual time off types. As a result, all time off types need to include the relevant time off categories. Additionally, certain time off necessitate extra information from employees and approver/payroll manager during the approval process. This information is needed to ensure accurate mapping in a3innuva Nómina.
If any information is missing, validation errors will appear during synchronization, allowing you to input the necessary details before running payroll and syncing time off from Personio to a3innuva Nómina. Once the errors are resolved, you can sync the payroll. We recommend always checking time off in the preliminary payroll table before synchronization.
Submit time off: Once employees enter a time off in their employee profile, they will be able to answer additional questions for different time off such as sick leave, child care or parental leave to ensure correct mapping in a3innuva Nómina.
Approve and edit time off information: Once employee time off are submitted, they can be revised in the calendar or respective employee profile by the approver/payroll manager. Depending on access rights, they will see the option Edit payroll info Once clicked, the time off details window opens with further additional questions. The additional questions that are shown in the request and when editing time off are also displayed. Once the additional questions have been answered, the approval can follow.
Note
Time off questions are only shown to employees if an employee has the Consider in Spanish Payroll attribute set to Yes.

The transfer between Personio and the a3innuva Nómina time off types are done automatically based on the information provided as additional questions in the time off request. See below for details on how questions in Personio are used to assign the data in a3innuva Nómina:
