For job boards to classify a job as remote, you need to create a remote Office in Personio, and assign it to the job posting. The name of the assigned office must contain the word "remote".
The same applies to a hybrid job. You need to create a hybrid Office in Personio, and make sure its name contains the word "hybrid".
Create a new office in Personio
- Go to Settings > Organization > Offices.
- Click New office... and input a name for the new office. Follow the guidelines below, under Define the name of the office.
- Click the plus sign to create the office.
Define the name of the office
When choosing the name of a remote or hybrid office, keep in mind that:
- The office name needs to contain the whole "hybrid" or "remote" word. You can use upper and lower case letters.
- You cannot add any letters to the word "hybrid" or "remote".

The same rules apply when posting in languages other than English. You can still use the English words "remote" and "hybrid". Alternatively, you can use the following:
German: Mobiles Arbeiten - Hybrid
Spanish: A distancia - Híbrido
French: Travail à distance - Hybride
Italian: Remoto - Ibrido
Dutch: Op afstand - Hybride
Add the address to the office

▶︎ Jobs can be remote for a specific country (for example, remote Germany). To be accepted by a job board, the job posting needs a valid address for such country.
▶︎ Depending on the job board, the city might be displayed in the job posting.
- Select the newly created office and click Edit.
- In the relevant fields, enter a complete, valid address, including the country where the remote job is. You can use the ZIP code of your main office in such country.
Assign the remote or hybrid office to the job posting
You can now assign the remote or hybrid office to the relevant job posting:
- Go to Recruiting > Jobs. Click the name of the relevant job.
- The job details page opens. Click Edit.
- In Job details and under Main location, select the new remote or hybrid office.
