This article explains who payroll owners are and their rights.
Who are Payroll Owners?
Payroll owners are the people who are responsible for approving and implementing payroll in your organization. Payroll owners can contact the Personio Payroll Operations team for any questions they may have about payroll processes.
They are the responsible contact person for all Personio Payroll-related matters, nominated by your organization and can take actions in accordance with GDPR. Payroll Owners can be the same person as Account Owner and Contract Owner, if applicable.
Once the implementation is complete, payroll owners can submit your questions regarding Personio Payroll via the in-product Help & Feedback section in Personio.

Add Personio payroll owners
To add payroll owners, follow these steps:

- Go to Settings > Support > Support.
- In the Personio Payroll owners tab, click the plus icon.
- Fill in the necessary details in the new window. Contact can only be made via a telephone number entered here. Make sure that the number entered here is the same as the number that will be transmitted during a call (e.g. without an extension for outbound calls).
- Agree to the data privacy statement.
- Click Create.
Remove Personio payroll owners
To remove payroll owners, follow these steps:
- Go to Settings > Support > Support.
- In the Personio Payroll owners tab, select the employee who you want to remove as the payroll owner.
- Click the bin icon in the top-right corner.
- Confirm your entry.
