This article explains how data is transferred to Stepstone if a job is promoted via Personio's multi-posting feature, and how this data is fed into Stepstone's design template. It also outlines certain quality requirements that need to be fulfilled for Stepstone postings. 

Stepstone postings design

Stepstone postings use a template called Liquid Design that divides postings into different boxes. Each box corresponds to a field from the job's Description within Personio. The table below outlines which box in Stepstone corresponds to which section in the job description in Personio.

Quality requirements

Stepstone checks each posting manually before publishing it. There are several quality requirements that need to be met: 

• A company description is mandatory. This information is taken from the About us section in Personio. 

• No links are permitted in the job description fields (no link to the Kununu or LinkedIn profile of the company, the company website, YouTube, Vimeo, etc.). 

• Job titles cannot be written in all capitalized letters. 

• Job titles need to be specific (instead of Quality Engineer, try to specify the industry, such as Quality Engineer specializing in automotive process technology).

• Generally, the job's description, and especially the Tasks section, needs to be written in a detailed way.

If quality requirements are not met, then Stepstone will not publish the posting. In case the posting has been published already, it will be canceled and taken offline. 

Product limitations

There are currently some product limitations when posting jobs on Stepstone via Personio.

• Personio does not support Stepstone for free.

• The preview of a job posting does not appear as it will actually look on the job board.
• Personio does not yet support remote jobs or jobs with several offices. For these use cases, please follow the instruction below.

Stepstone Connect

The Stepstone Connect feature makes the application process easier and seamless for candidates. It captures the candidate data and transfers it to Personio. This way, applicants are not redirected to a career page and can apply directly on Stepstone from their mobile devices. This is only available for candidates with a Stepstone profile.

Stepstone Connect will be automatically activated in your account. If you want to deactivate it, go to Settings > Recruiting > Promotion > Job board integration and deactivate the checkbox next to Stepstone.

Identify if a candidate used Stepstone Connect to apply for a job

To find out if a candidate used Stepstone Connect to apply for a job, go to the candidate's Profile tab and under Candidate information check the Channel.

• Stepstone DE: The application was made without using Stepstone Connect.
• Stepstone DE Connect: The application was made with Stepstone Connect.

Use cases: Jobs with several locations or remote work

If you want to promote a job that is open for remote work or for more than one location, you need to clearly state it in your posting. This way, Stepstone can make the necessary adjustments.

Several locations

When creating your job or editing it, you must choose a main location. You can also use the dropdown menu Other locations and select more. Stepstone supports up to ten locations.
