Activate Integrations from the Marketplace

 

This article provides an overview of the different types of integrations that you can find in the Personio Marketplace, and how to activate them.

 

Types of Integrations

In the Personio Marketplace, there are two types of integrations, integrations developed by Personio and integrations developed by a Personio Partner. 

 

Integrations Developed by Personio

These integrations can be activated directly from the Marketplace: 

 

Integrations Developed by a Personio Partner

For these integrations, you can start the activation in the Marketplace but need to finish it in the partner’s service environment. You can find integrations belonging to the following categories:

 

Activate Integrations

How you can activate an integration depends on who developed it. This information is located on the right side of the page, under the section App Details.

Activate Integrations Developed by Personio

To activate an integration developed by Personio, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the Marketplace and search for the integration you want to activate.
  2. Click on the relevant integration to open the drawer with further details.
  3. Under Links, click on Installation instructions to open the article with detailed steps in a new tab.
  4. Follow the instructions in the article to activate the integration.

Activate Integrations Developed by a Partner

To activate a third-party integration developed by a partner, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the Marketplace and search for the integration you want to activate.
  2. Click on the integration to open the drawer with further details.
  3. Under Links, click Installation instructions to open the article with detailed steps in a new tab.
  4. Click Connect to start the activation process.

Depending on the type of integration, you can finish the activation process in one of three ways:

Activate via Generating new API credentials 
  • Click Generate new API credentials or choose from existing credentials. 
  • Copy the client ID and client secret and click on Go to [integration] website to finish the setup in the partner's service environment, following the instructions provided in our Help Center article for each partner integration.
Activate via email
  • Click Copy email address to clipboard and contact the partner to start the activation.
  • Follow further instructions provided in our Help Center article for each partner integration.
Activate via recruiting API credentials
  • For recruiting integrations, you must use the existing recruiting API credentials, which are provided here
  • Copy the client ID and client secret and click on Go to [integration] website to finish the setup in the partner's service environment, following the instructions provided in our Help Center article for each partner integration.

 

Tip: If you have questions about the activation of integrations developed by a partner, contact the partner's customer support via the support contact mentioned in the Marketplace entry of the integration.
