With the Essential Plan you can only use the chargeable DATEV integration. From the Professional Plan onwards, you have Recruiting API Access and can use an unlimited number of integrations of your choice. If you need Personal Data API Access, this is possible with the Enterprise Plan.


What is orginio?

orginio is a cloud application for the automated creation of org charts. Thanks to its integration with Personio, organizational structures can easily be updated. Along with the visualization of structures, orginio is also capable of displaying key metrics directly within the org chart. Additionally, modeling of reorganizations is possible via drag-and-drop.

With orginio, you can maintain an overview of your workforce and KPIs at any time and consequently make informed decisions for your company.


How can I set up the integration between orginio and Personio?

  1. orginio requires access to specific fields. To grant this access, log in to your Personio account as an admin user and navigate to Settings > API > Access. Allow access to the following fields: First name, last name, email, gender, status, position, supervisor, department, and profile picture. 


  2. If you have not already done so, create a “PersonioAPICredentials.txt” file which contains the access data. You can create the file in your Personio account under Settings > API > Credentials. Click on Generate new credentials to create and download the “PersonioAPICredentials.txt” file.

    Please note that if you use the Generate new credentials command, your existing credentials become invalid.


  3. Afterward, upload this file to your orginio account. First, choose the type of org structure for your company and click on “Import Data” in the subsequent dialog. Click on the tab Personio and upload the “PersonioAPICredentials.txt” file there. Your org chart will then be created automatically.



What data will be transferred?

Certain employee master data is transferred from Personio to orginio:

  • Identifier
  • First name
  • Last name
  • Email
  • Gender
  • Status
  • Position
  • Supervisor
  • Department
  • Profile picture

It can be filtered via a checkbox and the status can be set as active or not.

There is no transfer from orginio back to Personio.


What are the costs?

The cost for orginio depends on the number of objects that are to be displayed, as well as the chosen feature set. There are five options to choose from. In the free version, 50 objects are included. As of the 51st object, pricing starts at $11 / month.
