What is the Updates and Screen Sharing Section?
In the Updates and Screen Sharing section, you will find the latest product news, events and community updates, and you can subscribe to our customer newsletters. It is also a support area where you can securely share your screen with a Personio Customer Support agent.
If you want to use the Updates and Screen Sharing section, go to Help > Support and Updates > Updates and Screen Sharing. You can then choose from a range of options that are described more in detail below.
Product Updates
In the Product Updates area, you will find all the information about new features in your account. The area contains a list of all the latest release notes in descending order and you can access the notes any time you want.
Tip
A dot will appear next to Updates and Screen Sharing to alert you of any new updates.
Events and Community Updates
In the Events and Community Updates area, you can learn about the latest customer events, such as our online User Group Meetings. You will also find news relating to the Personio Community and ways for you to engage with this exciting platform.

Customer Newsletters
When you click on Customer Newsletters, you will be redirected to this page where you can subscribe to our newsletters for updates about the latest product features, upcoming webinars and events, special customer offers, and more. Choose the emails that you would like to receive and unsubscribe at any time.
Start Screen Sharing
The screen sharing feature allows you to securely share your screen with a Customer Support agent. This helps us to see the problem you are having so that we can instruct you how to solve it.
When you’re in a call with a support agent and you want to start a screen sharing session, the agent can share a code with you that you can enter in the Start Screen Sharing window. Click on Start Session to begin sharing.
During a screen sharing session, only the browser tab displaying Personio is shared with the agent. Furthermore, Personally Identifiable Information (PII) is hidden from the agent, allowing you an even greater degree of privacy with your company’s sensitive data
Who Has Access to the Updates and Screen Sharing Section?
The Updates and Screen Sharing section is visible to everyone, but the menu items displayed vary depending on the role of the employee. Only Account Owners and Contract Owners can start a screen sharing session while the Product Updates area is only available to Administrators, Account Owners and Contract Owners.
