This article explains how you can customize your Personio career page with your corporate design. All the job openings you have stored in Personio are clearly displayed there. In addition, candidates can submit their personal data and documents directly to Personio via an application form. When they do so, an applicant profile is automatically created for them in your Personio account.

To use your personal Personio career page, you first need to activate it by checking the checkbox in Settings > Recruiting > Career page > Personio career page enabled. You can then access the page at youraccount-jobs.personio.de.
Personio accounts created on or after November 25, 2020, can access their career page at youraccount.jobs.personio.de. Click here for more information about this change.
Activate the checkbox Google Jobs enabled, so that the job advertisements of your career page appear in the "Google for Jobs" search. This feature will automatically scan all posts published on your Personio career page and list them on "Google for Jobs." Use this type of search engine optimization (SEO) to increase the visibility of your job advertisements for potential candidates. Please note that the integration of "Google for Jobs" only considers job advertisements that are published directly on your Personio career page.
Decide how you would like to group the job openings on your Personio career page. Candidates will then be able to filter the jobs by either Department, Employment type, Office, Recruiting category or Subcompany and find the specific openings that are suitable for them.

Enter all of the applicant attributes that you would like to include in your application form. You can use drag & drop to decide the order they should appear in, and you can also determine which attributes should be required fields. You can create any number of additional applicant attributes via Settings > Recruiting > Applicant. For further information on this, please click here.
Please note that the candidate's gender information, which is required for gender variables to be used correctly in offers and email templates, cannot be requested in the application form. It has to be entered manually in the applicant profile.
Enter the name of your company. This will be displayed as the sender name on emails if you have specified that the company name should appear as the recruiting email sender name in Settings > Recruiting > General > Sender. It will also appear in the title of the career page browser tab.
Customizing the Personio Career Page
In order to have your Personio career page match your corporate design as closely as possible, you can make some individual design adjustments.
First, decide on one of the two layouts available. We recommend using Layout 2.0, as it's an improved version of the Personio career page that offers the following advantages over Layout 1.0:
- Add a background image including individual title in the header area.
- Layout 2.0 is optimized for mobile viewing. This means that your jobs are optimally displayed, whether viewed on desktops, tablets or smartphones.
- The Layout 2.0 application form has an improved file upload with a drag & drop function and the option to add a individual thank you message after the application has been submitted.
- The extensive design options allow you to give your career page a more professional overall look and thus impress potential candidates.
You can switch from Layout 1.0 to Layout 2.0 quickly and easily, any time. In your Settings, simply go to Recruiting > Career page settings and select Layout 2.0. Then configure the page to your liking, and at any time have a preview of your current settings displayed. Click on Apply changes to switch over to the new design.
Styling options for Layout 2.0
Set your color preferences for specific elements such as headers and buttons, add a header image, and decide on a suitable font for all of your text.
Complete your company profile and configure your Personio career page in multiple languages, if required.
Add your company description in the About us input field. This text will appear by default in all published job openings. Include images or a company video to introduce your business in the best way possible. For more information on including images and videos on your career page, click here.
If you do not want to include the About us field in your job posting, leave it blank in the Translations section. The About us field will only be displayed and published if you have filled it with content.
Enter the title for the application form in Your application header. Also enter a descriptive text in Your application content, which will serve as additional information for your applicants to fill out the application form. Explain which documents you require with the application (Required documents content).
Add your data privacy statement. Every applicant must agree to it before they can submit their application. Click here for more details and a template.
Please note that Personio, as the operator of your career page, automatically adds a data privacy statement on the processing of (personal) data.
In the input field Headlines, you can also add a title to be displayed within the header of the start page. To finish, enter a thank you note that will be displayed automatically after an application has been successfully submitted via the form.
Customized career page using CSS
You can use custom CSS to make additional adjustments to your Personio career page. However, please note that selectors and properties can only be used to a limited extent. Integration into your existing career page
The Personio career page can display all the job positions you have in Personio clearly. Additionally, candidates can apply for a position directly via the application form you set up. As soon as the candidate data is submitted, a candidate profile profile is automatically created in Personio and the application is assigned to the respective position. There are various options for integrating the Personio career page and the application form into your company’s website. You can find a detailed overview of the different options here.
Please note that you need to allow for some developer capacity on your end to integrate the Personio career page on your website. These will vary, depending on the type of integration, which is explained further below.
Integrating via a Redirect
In order to integrate the Personio career page into your company’s website, you can add a link on your website that redirects to the Personio career page. For example, you could add this link under ‘Career’ or ‘Openings’ so that candidates are redirected straight to the Personio career page and the positions you have posted there, and can then apply directly for a position.
Integrating via an Iframe
If you are already using your own career page, you could integrate the Personio career page into your company’s career page via an iframe. An iframe allows you to integrate a section of the Personio career page into your career page. Your own career page then serves as the framework in which the Personio career page appears. Integrating via an XML Interface
If you are using your own career page and just want to pull information about your positions from Personio without having to adapt the design of your career page, an XML interface gives you the option of doing so. Installing an XML interface means that all your Personio data will be automatically updated on your company’s career page. When candidates click on ‘apply’, they will be redirected straight to the application form from Personio and can apply directly for a position. Integrating via API
If you would like to use both your company’s own career page and your own application form, you can do so via an API interface. Installing an API gives you the option of updating all the information on positions you have in Personio directly on your company’s own career page. Additionally, an API allows you to use your company’s own application form. The candidate data is then submitted directly to Personio via the API interface. Please note that the XML and API interfaces are only available as part of the Professional Plan or higher.
