Maintaining accurate documentation for your employees is crucial - that's why we're updating the Documents tab in the Employee Profile. With these updates, you'll notice a new look and improvements to functionalities for creating and maintaining documents.

Table view of documents
A Table view in the Documents tab gives you a more comprehensive overview of the documents in an Employee's profile. You'll notice:
- Improved sorting and filtering: more ways to adjust your view, with options to sort and filter by Name, Category, Signature requests, and more. Use the search feature to find documents by title.
- Information at a glance: color-coded category tags and comments listed in the table help you find what you need from the overview.
- Quick actions: A three dot icon appears next to a document that you hover over. This opens a list of actions for the document, like request a signature, download, edit, or delete.
- Export documents: Create a zip file to download all of your documents in Personio.
Upload a document
When uploading a document to an Employee's profile, you'll notice:
- A new interface: Drag and drop or upload files in a larger window.
- Document previews: View the document you've selected before it's uploaded to ensure you're uploading the correct one.
- Edit properties: Add comments or change document properties in one step.
- More actions in one place: Choose to request a signature or notify the employee about the uploaded document, all in the same step.
Document previews
Select a document from the list to open an updated preview experience. You'll notice:
- Easier navigation: A list of documents appear to the side of a preview, helping you move between and compare documents with ease.
- Toggle between views: Choose to preview a document or view its details. Once in the detail view, edit the document Name, Category, or more.
