In this article, you will find out how to track the channels over which job position applications are received. Use this function to find out which job portals are suitable for different job positions.
You will find this information in the applicant overview on the Applications tab and in the candidate profile on the Profile tab. In the candidate overview, you also have the option of filtering for specific channels.
Tracking your recruiting channels gives you the ability to evaluate the performance of your published job ads. For example, you can do this using the Channels report which has all of the relevant data.
URL-based Candidate Tracking
The tracking of candidates is based on the URL of your (Personio) career page as well as the tracking parameter of the respective channel. If you use the Personio career page, the tracking URL is generated automatically. If you use your own career page, you will need to enter additional details about the page into Personio.
Navigate to Settings > Recruiting > Career page and insert your career page's URL. This serves as the basis for your individual tracking URLs. Then go to Recruiting > Job positions> View position details and open the edit mode for the desired job position. Enter the URL for your job opening and the URL for the application form under Publish.
When an application is received, the channel it was received from is automatically displayed in the candidate profile.
You can see which channel is most effective for your job openings by looking at the position details of each job opening in the Channel performance section. The pie chart, which is automatically updated as new applications for the position come in, clearly shows which channels applications are received through.
In the Phase section, you can filter the report to find out, for example, if applicants from certain channels tend to progress further through the application process than those from other channels.
The bar chart on the right provides an overview of the number of Applications recently received for the position. You can choose to have the chart display the values for a period of four or eight weeks.
