Performance cycles are at the core of our Performance and Development app. In the first milestone of the Performance and Development redesign, we are improving this process so that you can:
- Set up and manage cycles faster — for now, or for later.
- Choose participants with greater precision thanks to powerful filter options.
- Keep an overview through a new visual timeline.
- Easily adapt to changes.

We're improving your performance review planning and setup with the new, more agile way of setting up and launching your performance cycles. Here’s what’s new:
Set up cycles faster
- Set up a review cycle in only a few clicks via a simpler and more intuitive workflow.
- Select participants with greater precision thanks to powerful filter options.
Plan ahead and relax
- Sequence your review activities in a cycle with a new visual timeline.
- Set up and schedule cycles for later — enjoy peace of mind knowing you are ready to go.
React to changes quickly
- Respond to employees joining, leaving, or changing roles with dynamic participant group updates. Access the new Edit participants section to review changes in participants and supervisors in live and scheduled cycles.
- Edit live cycles after they have launched — quickly change due dates within reviews or add another review type.
Improved feedback forms
We are excited to announce the upcoming release of our redesigned forms and review experience. This release includes several new features and improvements:
- Flexible rating scales: Descriptive and numerical scales offering up to 11 options, ranging from 0 to 10.
- Private questions: manage the confidentiality of specific review questions while still gaining insights.
- Multiple choice questions.
- Question descriptions: Provide additional context to your form.
- Enhanced experience: Forms are more intuitive and easier to use.

Customers without any active review cycles as of 4th of February 2025 will receive these new features starting on the 4th of February. All other customers will receive this update on the 19th of March 2025.
Private questions will be released for all customers in early April 2025.

Performance ratings
Tip
The feature is now in Beta. We will improve it in the next few months, based on your feedback. Use the feedback button and let us know.
Performance ratings are a standardized measure of employee performance.
With this feature, you can create and configure a standard scale question to gather performance data:
The question is added to a separate section in Manager reviews. As supervisors provide their ratings, the collected data is available in the cycle overview, and in the analytics tab.
Set up performance ratings
You can set up performance ratings under Performance & Development > Settings > Performance ratings.
To do so, you need edit access rights for Performance & Development settings.
