A new look for the preliminary payroll table
We have introduced a new, clear design to the payroll table while keeping the functionality largely as is, focusing on:
- A streamlined look and feel: Making the payroll table more scannable and easy to use.
- Easy to see Highlights: Improving highlighting of changes for better overview.
- Updated detail view: Find key HR and payroll information as well as changes in one place.

The Employee Changes tab
This new tab provides an overview of all individual changes in employee and compensation data, as well as additional data on the time and details of the change. You can also filter for specific data via the new filter, sort, and search options, making it easier to only review changes that are relevant for you.
In February, we are also introducing the dynamic views All changes and Retroactive changes.

The Documents tab
In the Documents tab, you now have a convenient overview of all payroll exports created during the displayed payroll period, and you can download them. Find more information on the new tab in our article on the preliminary payroll table.
The People tab
The new People tab provides a and structured way to get an overview of your payroll data. It features three dynamic views for each payroll period:
- All Employees
- Starters
- Leavers
Three new attributes have been added for the All Employee's view:
- Gross salary: Total salary including all compensations
- Time off taken: Sum of all days belonging to tracked time off in the period. Also dependent on which time off you select in the preliminary payroll settings.
- Paid vacation balance: Number of paid vacation days remaining in the year
Customize your experience by adjusting columns and using filtering, sorting, and searching options to review only relevant data. In the future, you will be able to customize the attributes displayed and, for example, also add attributes like social security number or tax ID.
This tab doesn't highlight changes and is not included in exports.

New experience for the Salary and Time off tabs
We have harmonized the experience within the preliminary payroll section and added the new filter, sort, and search options also to the Salary and Time off tabs. You can now use these to focus on relevant employees and data you want to review for the given payroll period.
In addition, comments are now displayed for compensations in the Salary tab (for bonuses, recurring and one-time compensations) and for time off in the Time off tab (comment/reason for the respective time off)
We also made the separation of the Personal info tab and Salary tab mandatory, so you do not need to toggle it on in the Settings any longer.

A new look for the preliminary payroll settings
We will roll out a new look that aligns with our preliminary payroll table. While the functionality remains unchanged, the new layout offers a modern, intuitive experience:
- Visual refresh: Enjoy a cleaner, more organized page layout that is scannable and easy to use.
- No functional changes: All functionalities remain intact, our improvements for this iteration are focused on aesthetics and navigation.
