Learn to use Personio Performance & Development area. This article is aimed at regular employees, without Administrator or Supervisor access rights.
Training
The Performance and Development area offers features to help you manage your training autonomously.
Accept training invitations
Each time your supervisor signs you up for a training session, you receive an email invitation. Accept the invitation and the training is added to your calendar automatically.
Sign up for a course
The Course catalog lists the courses that are available to you. Each course is organized into different training sessions. To access the course catalog:
- Click Training on the navigation bar on the left hand side.
- Browse the catalog. You will see all upcoming courses that are open to self enrolment.
- To enrol into a training session, click the relevant course. Click Sign up next to the relevant training session.
- In the window asking to confirm your choice, click Confirm signup.
Track your courses
Keep track of your courses under Training > Your training. There, you see:
- Your upcoming and past courses.
- Your past, external courses. Such courses are delivered outside Personio and tracked afterwards.
Feedback
The feedback area empowers you to give and receive feedback proactively and within performance review cycles.
Access your feedback
To access your feedback, go to Performance & Development > Feedback. You can see all your feedback under the following tabs:
- To do: Your pending and drafted feedback requests, such as from colleagues or tied to reviews.
- About you: Feedback about you from others.
- About others: Feedback you’ve sent.
If a cycle ends or someone leaves before finishing a review, it shows under About you or About others as discarded and can’t be updated.
These sections show your development over time. Use filters to find relevant feedback easily.
Send proactive feedback
You can send feedback to anyone in your organization, at any time. You can do so via Personio's Continuous feedback feature:
- Go to Performance & Development > Feedback.
- On the top right, click Give feedback.
- In the Give feedback window, select the employee you want to give feedback to. Click Continue.
- On the left hand side, select the relevant feedback template. Then write your feedback.
- Choose to share your feedback with the employee's supervisor or not.
- Depending on the confidentiality setting, your name will be visible or invisible to the receiver by default, or you will be able to choose your preferred option.
- Click Give feedback.
Your feedback will reach the relevant employee and will be available for them under Performance & Development > Feedback > About you.
Goals
In Personio, you can track and manage your goals, in collaboration with your supervisor.
Oversee your goals
Every time your supervisor assigns you a new goal, you receive a notification. You will find a new message in your inbox.
To check all the goals that your supervisor assigned to you, navigate to Performance & Development > Goals. The page displays your past, current and upcoming goals.
Update progress on a goal, or edit a goal's name
Depending on the set up chosen by your supervisor or by the goals administrators, you can edit a goal's name, or directly update a goal's progress.
To edit a goal's name, follow these steps:
- On the relevant goal, click the arrow icon.
- The goal details page opens. Click the pencil icon.
- Edit the goal's name, and click Save.
To update a goal's progress, follow these steps:
- On the relevant goal, click Update progress.
- In the goal's progress window, select the relevant Status for the goal.
- Update the subgoals as needed. Personio will update the goal's overall progress accordingly.
Leave a comment on a goal
You can leave comments on a goal, to include any relevant information and communicate with your supervisor. To do so, follow these steps:
- On the relevant goal, click the arrow icon.
- Under Comments, wright your comment. Click Submit.
