This article outlines the different access rights required to access the Automations area and use its features. Personio Administrators can see the entire area, and other users have different views depending on the access rights they're granted. Access the Automations area
Access to the Automations area can vary for employees based on the access rights they've been granted. The Automations area requires employees to have a combination of the following access rights:
- Automations Overview
- Onboarding
- Personal data > HR information
- Custom workflows > Creating and managing custom workflows
- Custom workflows > Monitoring Custom workflows
You can assign roles access rights depending on the level of access they should have to the Automations area.
Access tabs in the Automations area
Employees can access up to three tabs within the Automations area: Overview, Workflows, and Activity. See the table below for the access rights each tab requires.

Note:
Only administrators can see the Active signatures and Approval requests widgets in the Overview tab's dashboard. Employees who have Custom Workflows access rights but do not have Automations Overview access rights can still access the Automations area, but will not see the Overview tab.
