This article is step 1 of 9 of the implementation module Recruiting.
This article explains the different options to either create a Personio career page if you don't have your own corporate career page yet, or connect your existing career page to Personio Recruiting.
What are the benefits?
- Receive applications and candidate data directly in Personio without any manual effort.
- Automatically create candidate profiles to streamline your candidate management process.
- Increase visibility on your open positions by publishing them on your career page as well as using Personio's Promote feature.
The table below gives you an overview of the different options that you have depending on if you already have a corporate career page or not, and what you should consider for each of them:

Companies without a corporate career page
If you don't have your own career page, but want candidates to apply online, you can use Personio's default career page and adapt it to your corporate design. The URL of the Personio career page can either be youraccount.jobs.personio.de or youraccount.jobs.personio.com.
On this page, you can then publish positions that you have created in Personio with just one click. When candidates apply for a position on your Personio career page, they will need to fill in your customized Personio application form and add all relevant application documents.
This information will be automatically transferred into Personio and will create an application with a candidate profile that is assigned to the corresponding position.

Companies with a corporate career page
If you already have a company website, you can integrate your Personio career page either via link, iframe, or via XML. If you already have a corporate career page, and don't want to use the Personio career page or the Personio application form, you can transmit your positions and candidate data via API.
Option 1: Integrate the Personio career page into your corporate career page via link
The easiest way to connect your corporate career page to Personio is via link. On your corporate career page, you simply create a link or button, for example, Work with us, and insert the URL of your Personio career page myaccount.jobs.personio.de. This allows you to send candidates to your Personio career page to access all open positions and fill in the application form.
To apply, they will need to fill in your customized Personio application form with their data and upload the necessary application documents. All provided data and documents will be sent to Personio, creating a candidate profile that gets assigned to the corresponding position.
Note
Only website administrators can add the required link or button to your company's website.
Option 2: Integrate the Personio career page into your corporate career page via iframe
Through an iframe, you can display the Personio career page in a defined area of your website, and thus integrate it seamlessly into your company website. This option allows you to embed your positions into your corporate career page with limited design opportunities, and then takes candidates to your Personio career page to fill in the application form.
To apply, candidates will need to fill in your customized Personio application form with their data and upload the necessary application documents. All provided data and documents will be sent to Personio, creating a candidate profile that gets assigned to the corresponding position.
For more information on how to integrate the Personio career page via iframe, have a look at our article Integrate a Personio career page via iframe or link.
Option 3: Integrate the Personio career page into your corporate career page via XML
Via XML, you can transfer the positions that you manage in Personio to your corporate career page. The transfer takes place automatically once the Personio XML interface has been set up. This option allows you to present your positions on your corporate career page according to your corporate design, and then takes candidates to your Personio career page to fill in the application form.
Tip
You only have to enter your data once, thereby avoiding further website maintenance.
To apply, candidates will be forwarded to the Personio career page to fill in your customized Personio application form with their data and upload the necessary application documents. All provided data and documents will be sent to Personio, creating a candidate profile that gets assigned to the corresponding position.

Option 4: Connect Personio to your corporate career page via XML and API
If you only want to use your corporate career page without activating the Personio career page, you can use the XML interface described above to automatically transfer positions created in Personio to your corporate career page. To avoid forwarding candidates to the Personio career page, you can additionally transmit your candidate data to your Personio account via API. This option allows you to present your positions and the application form according to your corporate design, and candidates will stay on your corporate career page throughout.
When candidates apply for a position, you must provide them with an application form where they can add their data and all relevant application documents. This way, applications will automatically create a candidate profile with the provided data in Personio, and will be assigned to the corresponding position.
Note
The Personio Recruiting API will only accept candidates for positions published in Personio.
For more information on how to integrate the Personio career page via API, have a look at our article The Personio Recruiting API.
Notes
▶︎ This is the only option where the Personio career page needs to be deactivated in the Recruiting Settings and does not need to be configured.
▶︎ Make sure that you have sufficient internal development capabilities to set up the required XML interface and API to use your own corporate career page. Our Developer Hub contains comprehensive documentation of all parameters and endpoints, as well as informative technical tutorials.
