This article explains how you can set up your Personio career page and your subcompany career pages and customize them with your own corporate design.
What is the Personio Career Page?
The Personio career page is the place where all the positions you have published in your Personio account are displayed on a separate website. In addition, the career page lets you receive all data and documents sent by candidates – via an application form – directly in Personio. A candidate profile is then automatically created for the candidate in your Personio account.
Configuring the Personio Career Page
You can set up your Personio career page according to your company's specifications. You can manage all the settings under Settings > Recruiting > Career page - including the integration into your own company website and the application form, as well as special customization via CSS.

In this area, you can enable the career page, allow positions to be found via the "Google Job" search and activate the XML feed.
1) Enabling the Career Page
To use a Personio career page, you first need to activate it. Tick the box next to Enable Personio career page and you can then access your career page at youraccount.jobs.personio.de.
Note that Personio accounts created before November 25th 2020 accessed their career page at youraccount-jobs.personio.de. The switch to the new URL myaccount.jobs.personio.de is mandatory to continue to use the career page. Click here for more information about this change.
2) Enabling Google Jobs
By ticking the box next to Enable Google Jobs, you will allow the Google Search engine to scan all positions on a Personio career page and make them eligible to appear in a special user experience in Google Search results and in Google Jobs search. You can use this type of search engine to increase the visibility of your job advertisements for potential candidates.
Note that the integration of the Google Job search only considers postings that are published directly on your Personio career page.
3) Enabling the XML feed
By enabling the XML feed, you can pull all relevant data from the positions published on the career page into your own company's career page. This allows you to use the most sophisticated way of integrating the Personio career page into your own company's website. If you enable the XML feed, data related to your published positions can be accessed under youraccount.jobs.personio.de/xml. You can find further information on XML interfaces here.
Note that there is no XML feed for subcompanies as all information is accessible via the XML feed of the parent company's career page.
Career Page Settings
In this area, you can set up the career page based on the activations you selected in the previous section.
1) Link to own career page
In case you are using your own company career page and not the Personio career page, you can enter the link here.
Note that the link you enter here is not linked to the tracking links function. To enable tracking links based on your own career page link, you need to go to Recruiting > View position details > Promotion and click on the pen icon next to Career page links to enter the links to the position and to the application form of your own career page.
2) Company name
The name you enter will be the title of the career page browser tab. It will also be displayed as the sender name on emails if you have specified that the company name should appear as the recruiting email sender name under Settings > Recruiting > General > Sender. 3) Link to imprint
This is where you can enter the link to the legal notice of your company's website.
4) Group positions by
Here, you can decide how you would like to group the positions on the Personio career page. Candidates will then be able to filter jobs by either Employment type, Department, Subcompany (if enabled), Office or Category to find the specific positions that are suitable for them.

Application Form Settings
Here, you can select all available candidate attributes that you would like to include in your application form, and determine which attributes should be mandatory for the candidate to fill in.
You can use drag & drop to decide the order they will appear on the form. If needed, you can create any number of additional candidate attributes via Settings > Recruiting > Candidates. For more information on how to add custom candidate attributes, have a look here.
For the application form fields, you also need to define the document categories you would like to make available to candidates for uploading documents in their application forms. The predefined default categories are CV and Other.
Note that the candidate's gender information, which is required for gender variables to be used correctly in offers and email templates, can be requested in the application form. You can find more information here.
Customizing the Personio Career Page
In order to have your Personio career page match your corporate design as closely as possible, you can make individual design adjustments. You have the option to see a Preview of your current settings at any time by clicking on the Preview button on the bottom right.
In this area, you can add custom elements such as your logo, a header background image, a font and colors for the different parts of your career page.
If you want to hide your header background image, simply select the respective option under Layout. This function is especially useful if you want to seamlessly integrate your Personio career page via iframe into your company career page.
You can also use custom CSS to make additional adjustments to your Personio career page. However, please note that selectors and properties can only be used to a limited extent. You should only use classes to select elements. For more information about customizing your Personio career page using custom CSS, click here.
Descriptions and Translations
In this area, you can complete your company profile and configure your Personio career page in multiple languages, if required.
In the Translation menu, you can select the languages you would like to set up. You have the choice between German, English, French, Spanish, Dutch, Italian and Portuguese. You can create and save your descriptions for each language.
For candidates that view a position, your Personio career page will automatically be displayed in their browser language. If the visitor's browser language is unavailable, the career page will be displayed in English. Should no English translation be configured, the career page will then be displayed in the company language specified under settings > company > language preference.
Note that the language of the Personio career page and the language of the displayed positions on that page are not linked. A position is always displayed in the default language configured in the job description tab and visitors can adjust this language on the job description page of the career page via a drop-down, if other translations are enabled. In this field, you can enter and format the headline you would like to use for your page. Leave it empty if you do not wish to use one.
3) About us
Add your company description in the About us input field. This text will appear by default on all published positions. You can also include images or a company video to introduce your business in the best way possible. For more information on including images and videos on your career page, click here.
If you do not want to include the About us field in your job posting, leave it blank in the Translations section. The About us field will only be displayed and published if you have filled it with content.
4) Application header, content and documents
Enter the title for the application form in Your application header. Also enter a descriptive text in Your application content, which will serve as additional information for your candidates to fill out the application form. Explain which documents you require with the application (Required documents content).
5) Data privacy statement
Add your data privacy statement. Every candidate must agree to it before they can submit their application. Click here for more details and a template.
Note that Personio, as the operator of your career page, automatically adds a data privacy statement on the processing of (personal) data.
6) Thank you message
To finish, enter a thank you note that will be displayed automatically after an application has been successfully submitted via the form.
Configuring Subcompany Career Pages
If you have enabled subcompanies, you can create a separate Personio career page for each subcompany. This way, each Personio career page can be adjusted to the respective subcompany branding, and positions can be published specifically on their respective subcompany page.
To activate a Personio career page for a subcompany, make sure you have subcompanies enabled in your Personio account. Learn more about this here.
To create a new Personio career page for a subcompany, go to Settings > Recruiting > Career page. Here you can select the respective subcompany from the drop-down-menu.
Select a Domain
Each Personio career page is hosted on a separate domain. You will need to select a unique domain name for your subcompany's career page e.g. http://your-subcompany.jobs.personio.de .
Note that this name will be publicly visible in the URL of your new Personio career page, and that it cannot be changed, once it is set. So please ensure you use the correct domain name and check for spelling errors.
Once you have filled in your domain name, the system will automatically tell you if this domain name is available. In case it is already used by another company, you will need to select a new one.
In this area, you can enable your subcompany's Personio career page, allow positions to be found via the "Google Job" search and select if positions posted on the Personio career page of the subcompany should also be visible on the Personio career page of the parent company. Once you are finished setting up your subcompany's Personio career page and want to publish a position on it, you will need to make sure to select the correct subcompany in the metadata settings of the position. Find out more here.
